Founder story

Technology that works as one system.

Eugene does not see a router, camera, server, app, or smart device as an isolated product. Each is part of an operating system made of equipment, networks, buildings, workflows, and people.

His career developed from hands-on repair into infrastructure design, IT leadership, field operations, and software automation. The environments changed, but the question stayed the same: what must be connected, documented, and understood for the complete process to work reliably?

That perspective now shapes KOMONOFF. A recommendation is judged not only by specifications, but by whether it fits the client, can be maintained, protects the right access, and leaves a clear handoff instead of long-term dependence on the installer.

    Learning technology from the hardware up

    Eugene began with computer assembly, repair, and troubleshooting. That foundation taught him to trace a problem through every layer instead of treating only the visible symptom.

    Information systems and automation

    He studied Information Systems and Technologies at the Faculty of Automation and Information Technologies of Moscow State Mining University, adding systems architecture to his practical experience.

  3. IT leadership

    Responsibility beyond the server room

    At manufacturing and retail company Sofia Decor, his work covered business networks, servers, 1C systems, telephony, backups, CCTV, access control, vendors, budgets, user support, and production technology.

  4. 2021

    A smart home built as one environment

    A personal smart-home build combined lighting, household devices, security, climate controls, CO₂ monitoring, ventilation, and irrigation. It reinforced a simple rule: automation should reduce daily friction, not create a stack of disconnected apps.

  5. 2022 · Florida

    GuruIT LLC and a new chapter in Jacksonville

    After relocating to the United States with his family, Eugene founded GuruIT LLC in Florida. KOMONOFF is the public brand through which that company serves Jacksonville homes and small businesses.

  6. Field operations today

    Connecting physical work with practical automation

    Eugene supervises field work through Moldcable/CUI in support of Comcast/Xfinity operations and develops internal workflow and quality-control tools with n8n, Telegram, Airtable, and AI-assisted image review.
