INTERNET DIAGNOSTICS & LIAISON

Intermittent Internet ProblemsNeed Measured Evidence.

We inspect the accessible customer-side path, compare wired and wireless behavior, document what the tests show, and separate local repair opportunities from issues that require your internet provider.

Evidence before conclusions

A useful diagnostic does not assume every symptom has the same cause. We record what was observed, what was not accessible, and which next step the evidence supports.

What Makes These Problems Difficult

A Short Snapshot Can Miss an Intermittent Fault

The goal is to narrow the fault domain and preserve useful evidence, even when the connection behaves normally during the appointment.

Intermittent Drops That Are Hard to Reproduce

A connection may look normal during a short support call even though packet loss, signal changes, or gateway events occur at other times.

In-Home Cable or Connector Faults

Loose connectors, damaged coax, unsuitable splitters, Ethernet faults, or poorly placed equipment can create symptoms that resemble an outside-service problem.

Not Enough Evidence for Escalation

Dates, timestamps, packet-loss tests, gateway logs, and available signal readings can make an intermittent issue easier to explain to provider support.

No Secondary Connection Path

Homes that depend on internet for work, cameras, or controls may need a separately scoped backup option, subject to carrier coverage and equipment compatibility.

Diagnostic Options

From Local Testing to Provider-Ready Evidence

The visit scope follows the service type, accessible infrastructure, and symptoms—not a promise that every fault is inside the home.

Physical-Layer & Network Diagnostics

We inspect accessible customer-side cabling, connectors, splitters, power, gateway placement, Ethernet links, and available modem or network metrics. Provider-owned infrastructure remains the provider’s responsibility.

Evidence Summary & Authorized Liaison

When useful, we organize observed symptoms, timestamps, tests, and readings, then help communicate them to provider support with the account holder’s authorization. Escalation decisions remain with the provider.

Optional Cellular Backup Planning

A compatible multi-WAN gateway can route selected traffic over cellular service when the primary path fails. Switching time, bandwidth, latency, session continuity, data limits, and monthly charges vary by equipment and carrier.

Scoped Customer-Side Repairs

If an accessible in-home fault is confirmed, we can quote approved connector, splitter, Ethernet, or cable remediation. Workmanship coverage and exclusions are stated in the written scope rather than assumed.

How It Works

Four Steps to a Defensible Next Action

01

Document the Symptoms

We review when the issue occurs, which devices are affected, what has already been replaced, and whether wired and wireless clients behave differently.

02

Test the Accessible Path

We test the customer-side path and local network with methods appropriate to the service type, recording the observations and limits of the visit.

03

Separate Local and Provider-Side Findings

Confirmed customer-side faults, suspected outside-line issues, device problems, and inconclusive results are identified separately.

04

Provide the Next Action

You receive a repair quote, a monitoring recommendation, provider-ready evidence, or a backup-connectivity plan depending on the findings.

What the Starting Price Covers—and What It Does Not

The on-site service call and diagnostic starts from $149, with the planned test scope confirmed when scheduling. The fee does not automatically include replacement parts, new cable runs, monitoring hardware, cellular equipment or service, extended troubleshooting, wall repair, or work on provider-owned infrastructure. Any additional work is proposed after the assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Internet Diagnostics, Provider Liaison & Backup Options

What can an independent internet diagnostic determine?

It can identify or narrow down accessible customer-side cabling, connector, power, gateway, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and device issues, while documenting evidence that may point to a provider-side fault. It cannot guarantee access to or repair of provider-owned street, node, or central-office equipment.

How does cellular multi-WAN backup work?

A compatible gateway monitors the primary path and can route selected traffic over a separate cellular plan when configured conditions are met. Transition time and application continuity vary; some calls, VPNs, games, or other sessions may reconnect. Carrier data charges and equipment are separate unless included in writing.

Can you contact my internet provider for me?

With the account holder’s authorization, we can help explain the documented observations and tests to provider support. We cannot bypass the provider’s security checks, promise a particular support tier, or control its dispatch and repair decisions.

What does an ISP troubleshooting visit cost?

The on-site service call and diagnostic starts from $149. The included test scope is confirmed when scheduling. Repairs, replacement equipment, monitoring hardware, new cabling, cellular service, and extended work are quoted separately after assessment.

Does one diagnostic visit guarantee the intermittent issue will be found?

No. Intermittent faults may not occur during the appointment. We document what was observed, what tested normally, and whether longer monitoring or provider-side investigation is the most useful next step.

Ready to Replace Guesswork with Evidence?

Book an on-site internet diagnostic from $149. We will define the initial test scope, document the findings, and quote any customer-side repair or backup project separately.
